Haynes Motor Museum – Yeovil

A second trip to the Haynes museum was much more interesting than the first, last time I want there was some powertools event going on so the place was very busy. This time it was empty giving more time to enjoy the cars.

The Haynes museum is related to the Famous Haynes manuals, the cars in the exhibitions are the ones that were pulled apart to create the books. There are all breeds of car ranging from a Ford Mustang to the classic Austin Mini. The museum is also known for its famous ‘red room’ and you guessed it, it is a room full of red cars.

Free Money Website Review-TopCashBack.com

TopCashBack is a directory of online stores that give money back to the refering company based on the purchase that was made on their site. The idea is that the online store gets a new customer from a link on TopCashBack. As a thanks for this they will pay TopCashBack for the refferal, however you actually recieve a certain amount of this money!

Well yes it is free money if you were going to get the item from that store at that price anyway but there are often other companies selling it cheaper. You should not make a purchasing decision based on this site because the money is not guarenteed.

I bought a tent!!

Sometimes it is good to get away from all the bustle and wonderful technology that I often blog about on this site. How can I get away from everything (sometimes everyone)? Buy a tent of course. I have purchased a new North Face Big Fat Frog 24 from Taunton Leisure. It has been erected in the garden after a long 30 minute struggle and two attempts only to find that the instructions are in the peg bag.Now it all seems so easy. It feels very sturdy and I think I would feel very happy inside this during bad weather. The reason for going for this tent is the porch area, this allows me to leave the kit in the portch to leave loads of room for when two people need to sleep inside. I now need some ideas about where I can go camping in/around Somerset. I already have a decent sleeping bag/sleeping mat. I have some of the other camping essentials as well, just need something to make some food on. Pub anyone?

A New Car

OK, so I wanted something different, better to drive, beter looking, newer and faster so what did I get, well another Corsa of course. After finally deciding to buy what I can’t afford I shook hands on a 52 plate Corsa SXI. Yes it’s the sporty model, and yes its has a non-standard exhaust but it is cool. So far so good with the car, it feels good, drives well and most importantly the insurance is what I call ‘affordable’ for my age if that even exists. The car features 4 wheels 1 steering wheel and 3 pedals, handy huh? I’m not going to talk about how or why I love my new little car but felt like I wanted to tell the whole world. What better way is there than on the net? Im sure ill be posting some pics up on Flikr soon. Before you ask im already a member of Corsa-C.co.uk. So if you own a Corsa and live nearly give me a shout. It would be good to find out what others have done to their cars and what they think of it, even if it is all stock (not a bad thing). Thanks for reading this rather pointless post, havn’t updated this in a while now. I promise I will more in the near future (and not just about the car).
