Nettop HTPC Comparison

With nettops becoming much more popular and affordable they are becoming a viable option for using as a dedicated HTPC.

A nettop in basic talk is a relatively cheap small PC with a low power consumption, which is perfect for a HTPC. This allow you to hide it away out of sight or place on display under the screen. It also means that you aren’t going to run up a large electricity bill by having it on all the time.

One Naked Mini

Putting it short, we bought a mini without any sound insulation and a custom noisy exhaust, so installation was needed. We were amazed by how easy it is to strip the interior down, with only the dash left a little after 30 minutes. Each front seat is held by 2 screws on a hinge the rear bench seat is held in place with two screws and then clips out. Everything was so easy. I bought a tent!!

Sometimes it is good to get away from all the bustle and wonderful technology that I often blog about on this site. How can I get away from everything (sometimes everyone)? Buy a tent of course. I have purchased a new North Face Big Fat Frog 24 from Taunton Leisure. It has been erected in the garden after a long 30 minute struggle and two attempts only to find that the instructions are in the peg bag.Now it all seems so easy. It feels very sturdy and I think I would feel very happy inside this during bad weather. The reason for going for this tent is the porch area, this allows me to leave the kit in the portch to leave loads of room for when two people need to sleep inside. I now need some ideas about where I can go camping in/around Somerset. I already have a decent sleeping bag/sleeping mat. I have some of the other camping essentials as well, just need something to make some food on. Pub anyone?
