TopCashBack is a directory of online stores that give money back to the refering company based on the purchase that was made on their site. The idea is that the online store gets a new customer from a link on TopCashBack. As a thanks for this they will pay TopCashBack for the refferal, however you actually recieve a certain amount of this money!
Well yes it is free money if you were going to get the item from that store at that price anyway but there are often other companies selling it cheaper. You should not make a purchasing decision based on this site because the money is not guarenteed.
The turnaround time can be quite long ( I recently waited 3 months for my Cashback) but it didn’t cost me anything but waiting time so I can’t really complain.
If you are clever and use coupon codes that are often available online you can get a large percentage of the cost knocked off or paid back. I recently managed to get roughly 70% back on my Car Breakdown Cover.
On each of the merchants pages TopCashBack states the average payout time and reliability of the CashBack.
You must go back and login at least every 6 months otherwised you have your account closed and your money taken away from you.
Overall I speak very highly of topcashback.com. Free money, who would complain?
